DCTM
This web site is intended to offer information, forms, dates, and links related to the Delaware Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The goal of this group of teachers is to improve mathematics instructions throughout the state of Delaware. Our membership includes teachers from public and private schools in elementary, secondary and university classrooms. Members include practicing and retired teachers. The activities sponsored by DCTM include activities designed for teachers and students.
Vision
The Delaware Council of Teachers of Mathematics is dedicated to developing and sustaining the highest quality in the teaching and learning of mathematics. DCTM is a nonprofit affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and represents and serves Delaware teachers, students, and other constituencies.
Mission Statement
The mission of DCTM is to provide leadership in mathematics education for the state of Delaware. To accomplish this mission, DCTM will:
- Provide and promote professional development opportunities for teachers of mathematics
- Provide a network for the exchange of ideas, issues, and instructional strategies
- Develop professional relationships with other organizations
- Encourage students to enjoy and value mathematics
